BROKK company's origin traces back to the 70s when Lars and Per-Martin Holmgren, two visionary brothers, identified an opportunity to revolutionize the demolition industry. The inspiration came from their observation of workers manually cleaning a lead furnace at the Rönnskärsverken metal processing plant in Skellefteå. The dangerous nature of the work prompted them to create a safer and more efficient alternative. They developed a prototype machine, the first in the industry to utilize a remote-controlled system, which protected workers from hazardous environments and reduced the job completion time by 50%. Although BROKK machines have undergone several upgrades and refinements over the years, the core ideas from the original prototype remain the foundation of the current product. Today, BROKK robots are utilized worldwide, making BROKK a leader in the demolition and construction industries.
